# Terms of Service


Welcome to The Artisan Gift Shop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Artisan Gift Shop (the "Site") and any orders you place with us. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

## 1. About Us

The Artisan Gift Shop is a federally incorporated Canadian business selling handcrafted gifts, copper drinkware, potli bags, pichwai jars, and wedding favours sourced from artisans in India.

## 2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your province) to place an order.

## 3. Products

We do our best to display product colours, textures, and dimensions accurately. Because our products are **handcrafted**, slight variations in colour, embroidery, beadwork, weight, and finish are natural — they are part of the character of the product, not defects.

## 4. Pricing & Payment

- All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise noted.
- Prices are subject to change without notice; the price at checkout is the price you pay.
- Applicable taxes (GST/HST/PST/QST) are added at checkout based on your shipping province.
- Payment is processed at the time of order through our secure payment providers.

## 5. Pre-Orders

Some items are sold on a **pre-order** basis. This means the product is not yet in stock and will ship by the date stated on the product page.

By placing a pre-order, you agree that:

- A **deposit of [25–30%]** is charged at the time of order; the remaining balance is charged when your order ships.
- The estimated shipping window is our best estimate. Delays may happen due to customs, shipping, or supplier issues. We will keep you updated.
- You may cancel a pre-order for a **full refund of your deposit** any time before the order ships. Once the order ships, our standard Refund Policy applies.

## 6. Bulk & Wedding Orders

For bulk orders (typically 25+ units), please contact us at info@theartisangiftshop.com for custom quotes, lead times, and a written agreement. Bulk orders are subject to separate terms specified in your order confirmation.

## 9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including product photos, descriptions, designs, the logo, and the brand name — is owned by The Artisan Gift Shop or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any of it for commercial purposes without our written consent.

## 10. User Conduct

You agree not to:

- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to interfere with the Site's security or operation.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

## 11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Artisan Gift Shop is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

## 12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold The Artisan Gift Shop harmless from any claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or your use of the Site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
